STARSPRING EXTEND NEW LINE OF RIB COVERS
Starspring have a comprehensive archive of patterns for RIB complete covers – which can be produced as an ‘Ashore and trail’ type (see illustration 1 and 2) or the ‘Fitting Afloat’ type (see illustration 3). In illustration 1, this 6.5 meter RIB has an Ashore/trail type which has the tubes, outboard motor and stern pods completely covered. Four straps with stainless steel buckles secure the cover assisted by bungee cord and hooks. Trailing at high speed is not a problem.
The afloat type does not cover the tubes completely as this would entail the cover being partly submerged in water. Also fitting straps around the hull would be impractical so fastening is by the forward and stern straps but side securing is as illustration 3, by short 1” web straps with buckles through the RIB’s safety rope securing rings. It also has bungee cord around the sides and the pods are completely fitted. Fitting of the forward and stern straps are from the RIB with the side securing straps done from the dinghy/punt. This type of cover can also be trailed.

These covers are manufactured from a lightweight American acrylic waterproof canvas which is very high in UV resistance and extremely strong. The cover fits neatly around the A frame , secured by bungee cord and hooks. The console screen or highest point is re-enforced with double fabric to stop chafe. The covers are supplied with a waterproof drawstring bag for easy stowage. This cover will fit in a bag of approximately 24” diameter by 36” high.
